5 Humorous Holiday Beers

To: YouFrom: Washington MAST

From shopping to family events, the holidays can be stressful. We recommend unwinding with a beer (or two). If

you want to maintain the holiday spirit, try one of the following 5 humorous holiday brews!

Yellow Snow by Rogue Ales

This beer was originally introduced for the 2000 winter Olympics in Salt Lake

City. However, it’s become a fan favorite and even won gold itself in 2011 at the

Wold Beer Championships.

We’re not sure what yellow snow tastes like, but the ale has a fruity-citrusy taste.

Its a little bitter. Think of fruits that make you pucker up like lemons and

pineapple.

Wreck the Halls by Full Sail Brewing

This beer is slightly fruity with undertones of carmel. Plus, there are

hints of nutmeg - how seasonal!

Wreck the Halls is only available from November to mid January so don’t miss

out on your chance to try this beer!

Festivus by Full Pint Brewing Company

A great seasonal warming ale. Festivus has undertones of carmel and nuttiness as well as cinnamon. A great blend of Christmas (or should we say Festivus?)

aromas and tastes.

Now - on to the feats of strength!

Mad Elf Ale by Troeges

Get your Mad Elf Ale between October and December (what elf wouldn’t be a little mad as the holiday’s approach?).

This ale is a terrific blend of sweet and sour cherries, golden honey, and rich chocolate malts, and is made with a

spicy Belgian yeast. Even the color of this brew is holiday-ish - it’s bright red!

Santa’s Butt by Ridgeway Brewing

A rich warming porter with a somewhat bittersweet flavor that’s sure to get you in

the Christmas spirit.

Fun fact: This brew comes from the UK, and in England “butt” refers to a large

barrel used for brewing purposes.
