• IBM Docs can be installed as a ‘docs’ style editors for the IBM’s FileNet Content Navigator• Available for On Premises installations• Multi person editing, simultaneous or asynchronous• Browser based editing without needing office suites or stand alone editing tools. • IBM Docs supports many file formats, including MS Office formats• The value of the solution is time savings and improved quality of knowledge assets• Making Power users more productive, making it easier for Regular users• New Options for Office suite costs & licensing

IBM’s Filenet Content Navigator now has capability to create new documents. These can be edited with IBM Docs, as can new or existing uploaded documents

This is a simplistic template for adding a new document, as a first example. Templates however can be sophisticated (form like) and offer pre-defined document types, metadata and social data preferences. IBM Docs can edit documents based on templates.

This is the editing view for a text document. IBM Docs supports text, spreadsheet and presentation files. IBM Docs also supports open source, Microsoft formats, and can generate PDF’s.

The IBM Docs editor has many functions like check in and other process controls, as well as inserting images and many other format and content controls

The Social file view in Filenet Content Navigator – User can tag, share, track and comment as well as other actions.

Now ‘Edit in IBM Docs’ is available as a menu item to author/owners.

Simply make users authors or owners to allow access to IBM Docs

Multi – editing, a key value of IBM Docs. Nora and Lucy are editing the same document. Nora has her edits highlighted in Orange. Lucy has her edits highlighted in blue. They are editing at the same time from their browsers (Safari & Firefox in this example).

Commenting can be done on any piece of content, and can be @signed to make apparent to specific users.

Spell check is everywhere. Comments can be made in all 3 document formats ( spreadsheets, text, presentations)

Comments have reply/ resolve and delete functions to

facilitate conversation across

editing cycles.

Comments can consist of many conversation, not just one single thread. They can be sorted for archived (closed) , @me, open, etc.

Filenet Content Navigator now has ‘new’ capability to create new documents. These can be edited with IBM Docs, as can new or existing uploaded documents

Comments can be seen and managed from the tracking view in Microsoft Office

Draft and released versions available for Filenet publishing model

IBM Connections can be configured as a repository

Existing documents can be uploaded and edited with IBM Docs
