Features of Windows 7

Jump ListsJump Lists provide users with quick access to a mini-Start

menu containing lists of pictures, music, word documents or links that they use most frequently.

User-Friendly GUI

LibrariesInstead of having all files and folders organized under the

familiar Documents folder, Windows 7 features separate Libraries for specific content types such as contacts, documents, downloads, music, pictures and videos.

Taskbar PeekThis feature applies the Aero Peek technology to taskbar

thumbnails.

Aero PeekAero Peek expands on Vista's Aero graphical interface. If you

have many windows open, Peek brings the window you want to focus on to the front, while turning all other open windows into transparent "glass sheets."

Sharing with HomeGroupHome Groups let you easily link Windows 7 computers on

your home network to share pictures, music, videos, documents and devices such as a printer.

Aero SnapManeuvering between windows is a pain, and comparing the

content of two windows side by side requires awkward resizing that never quite works.

Federated search :Windows 7 supports searching for documents beyond the

user’s own PC, as well as a preview of search results

Win+Left Arrow: Dock the current window to the left half of the screen Win+Right Arrow: Dock the current window to the right half of the screen Win+Up Arrow: Maximize the current window Win+Down Arrow: If the current window is maximized or minimized Win+Home: Minimize all but the current window Win+F: Launch a Search Window Win+G: Cycle through Gadgets Win+Space: Aero Peek the Desktop Win+Plus +: Zoom Out Win+Minus -: Zoom In Alt+F4: Close the active window Alt+Tab: Switch to previous active window Alt+Esc: Cycle through all open windows Win+Tab: Flip 3D Ctrl+Win+Tab: Persistent Flip 3D Win+T: Cycle through applications on taskbar (showing its live preview) Win+M: Minimize all open windows Win+Shift+M: Undo all window minimization

Short Cut Keys

Win+L: Lock the desktop (Cntl, Alt, Delete will prompt to log back in)

Short Cut Keys

Windows 7 helps meet the needs of both end users and IT professionals, to make the things that people do today faster and easier .

Windows 7 focused on delivering greater customer satisfaction in both big and small ways.
