Inspiration: Kitchen Table Peace Process

The iiiChef is part of my Gathering Table and Mini-Kitchen … an innovative design to showcase the preparation of new meat, diary, and poultry products. We plan food court kiosks in modern shopping centers in East Asia to perform this task. Local chefs will own and operate the kiosks and the coop commissaries that buy, store, clean, prepare, dice, and deliver prepared meats, poultry, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, desserts, and breads to each kiosk.

Patent AbstractA portable countertop multi function appliance designed to showcase a variety of cooking methods that use: heat from the bottom up to BBQ and Grill; heat within an enclosure to Bake; a rotisserie to turn and slow cook; a perforated lid to allow heat to escape the enclosure and caramelize; Invert the apparatus to provide heat from the top down to Broil: and replace the top lid with fans, heat coils, and controls to Dehydrate.

A countertop appliance with innovations that include a mirror profile heat enclosure, a pre-load and top load rack system; cylindrical handles that host rolls of foil or other wrap; a fast manual cleaning system for the grill; inter-changeable oven lids to caramelize and dehydrate foods; extendable legs in both directions up and down from the trunk shaft attached to the grill box to adjust the height of the appliance from the countertop to suit the working needs of the chef; ’ and a series of straps hat hang from atop the enclosure side walls to support a removable rack guide system on the inside; and then counter balanced on the outside of the enclosure to hang racks for spices, cooking wines, sauces, and utensils.

The iiiChef is a basic heating appliance: 3 x 2000kw elements and controls plus 3 cast iron fish ball plates. 2 crepe plates and a full grill.

iiiChef Innovations

I design and manufacture a multiple function portable countertop electric appliance. The functions are:

Grill: Multi-cast iron accessories fish balls, fry, boil, hot pot, steam pouch, sauté, etc

Bake: Add SS U channel around the perimeter to host heat enclosure panels that is a removable oven

Enclosure panels are shipped KD, and feature fast installation and removal for “self-cleaning”. Literally. Remove the panels and front glass and hand wash and dry. 5 minutes vs 60 minutes to clean a conventional fixed oven using aerosols and chemicals like Easy Off.

I add tripod legs for height adjustment; oven support; and conversion to the Broiler function.

Caramelizing: Top lid with variable diameter perforated SS sheets for onions and peppers.

Large 60mm diameter cylindrical handles at each end that conceal rolls of aluminum foil. Heavy foil threads through a slot in the side of the SS box and covers the insulation panel below the elements and exits identical slots at the opposite end. Makes for fast and easy cleaning.

LED red light string to signal if the elements are ON.

A multi sleeve rack top loads into the heat enclosure and locks into hex nuts in the corner posts of the SS box..

An under-side heat element on the Grill box for fast broil omelets and appetizers cooked on Grill accessories.

Rapid conversion from a Grill; to a heat enclosure (oven); to a caramelizer; to a dehydrator; to a Broiler.

Top lid with fans and controls to allow the oven to function as a dehydrator.

 

iiiChef OEM Proposal

1.We buy the complete 3 element Grill in the market (Many in Guangdong). Stainless steel box; 3 x 2kw elements; controls; cord; plug; certified.

2. We add a SS channel around the perimeter

3. Insert 3 insulated wall panels and a tempered glass front panel to make a heat enclosure (Oven 300 C)

4. Choice of 5 lids each with silicon seals; a) solid lid. b) Perforated SS with 3mm; 5mm; and 10mm diameter holes. Different heat escape lids to heat a 400mm x 600mm Telfon pan holding onions, peppers, etc. to be caramelized. c) lid with fans and controls to convert the heat enclosure into a dehydrator.

OEM Proposal5. An adjustable shelf coated steel rack with 3-5

shelves is pre-loaded on the counter and top loaded into the heat enclosure. Whole system is made in Nantou and is designed and ready to use.

6. Add aluminum expandable “tripod” legs at each corner. Grill is now adjustable to most desirable working height of the chef.

7. Add SS cylinder handles on both sides of the main box to hold aluminum foil that threads through the apparatus on the opposite side. For easy cleaning

8. Turn the whole apparatus up-side down to create a broiler with the heating elements on top and the food below on shelves supported by slides on the wall panels of the oven..

Multi-shelf adjustable Rack System: 400mm x 600mm and 450mm x 750mm standard sizes. Silver or gold plated.

Rack system rests on 4 ring supports welded to the apron of the stainless steel box. Side air space

between the rack shelves and the enclosure wall for heat circulation.

Racks can be pre-loaded, shrink wrapped, and hooded by a franchised national

supermarket; before delivery to the customer.

Optional lids cover the heat enclosure. A solid lid to seal the oven; a perforated lid for caramelizing; and a fan and coil lid to transform the oven into a dehydrator

Exterior spice and wine racks are counter-balanced by guides and shelves on the inside

of the enclosure using metal straps.

We will introduce bold and colorful Chef hats and aprons

Adjustable “tripod-style” legs at each corner to raise or lower the Grill

Brackets affixed to the appliance box hold cylindrical handles that contain foil or other material to coat the base of the grill. Foil feeds out of the cylinder, thru a slot in the side wall; under the heat elements and out the opposite side to be discarded.

One Cylinder houses 150 meters of heavy duty 20 micron aluminum foil that feeds into the grill box under the electric elements and out the other side. Fast 10

second manual cleaning of the grill bottom.

The whole Grill appliance (less the enclosure and lids) is turned upside down

(inverted) to create the Broiler function.

Broiler operation. Grill is inverted on to the heat enclosure profile. Glass panel remains off during broiling. Shelves nest into the side wall guides. Guides counter balance exterior spice / wine holders. Cleaned foil not used in this position. Base pan collects residue, drippings, food morsels and fat.. A top Velcro affixed element heats sauces and marinades for the meats, poultry, or fish.

Bake and Caramelize at the same time

iiiChef Market Niche

1. Small household appliances can feed 1-10 persons 3 times a day.

2. Large expensive commercial appliances can feed 1000-5000 persons 3 times a day.

3. The iiiChef can feed 15-50 persons 3 times a day.

Target CustomersThe iiiChef is a portable, electric, countertop, multi function, cooking appliance suitable for supermarket delis, coffee houses or bake shops; police stations, fire halls, military camps; churches, monasteries, large families, fraternity houses, community centers, patio restaurants, food court kiosks, and small business for gatherings and functions to feed 15 to 50 people; A larger 4 element 4 control model can feed 30-100 people.

iiiChef Business Model for Chef entrepreneurs and Home-based

caterers. How to make money.

The first step to make money with an iiiChef is to start your own small catering business from your home. Cater to small groups of 15-50 people in your community. We will give you the appliance, a business plan, bank loan

application, application for a government grant, customer leads, menus, and traditional recipes.

iiiChef kiosks have only 2-3 MK cars. Wash basins, fridge / cooler, microwave and toaster oven,

bar, counter, twin iiiChef appliances, dispensers, and Internet /TV monitor.
