The Woodforest Community Foundation, Inc., (the “Foundation”) is a
Texas non-profit corporation established in 2009 to invest in the future
of Woodforest. Designed to supplement and complement the functions
of the Woodforest Owner’s Association (WOA), the Foundation enhances
services and resources to the community through the sponsorship
of programs, activities and events in and around Woodforest.
The Foundation is an entity entirely separate and independent from
Woodforest Development and the Owner’s Association.
The Foundation’s Mission
All residents of Woodforest benefit from the funds. The Foundation’s
Board of Trustees shall determine
areas of need and interest within
the community.

You and your neighbors fund the Woodforest Community Foundation
through foundation fees that have been assessed on every real estate
transaction in Woodforest since January 2009. The maximum
foundation fee is equal to 0.005 (1/2) percent of the sales price of
a home. The fees remain as a deed covenant; therefore, when a home
is resold in the future, a 0.005 (1/2) percent payment is made to the
Foundation at closing. This allows
the Foundation to grow as
Woodforest grows.
