According to the researchers the word ‘’wine’’ spread from Georgia to the whole world. It has nearly the same root in many languages. Wein-in German Winum-in Latin Wino-in Russian ღვინო-In Georgian which

has the same sound.

Village USHGULI in Svaneti , one of the part of Georgia, is the highest place in Europe. It is about 2300 meters from sea level.

The highest mountain in Georgia is Mount Shkhara at 5,193 meters (17,040 feet) above sea level.
