Data Processing

Data entry system for each questionniare was prepared SLRD IT group was trained by TCDC (Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries) IT experts CSPro software was used in developing data entry systemCollected data were encoded in 5 different data centerData cosistency check, edit and tabulation and finalized implementation was carried out in Central Office.

Preparation for 2020 Census

Integration in NSDS

New Myanmar Statistical Law was enacted in 2015

The Myanmar NSDS has suggested several measures to integrate the

different sectoral statistical systems into the NSS.

In Myanmar, with the highly decentralized NSS

Six different cluster groups were formed to strengthen coordination

1. National account and Macro economics

2. Cival Registration and Vital statistics

3. Agriculture and Rural Statistics

4. Survey Coordination and statistical standards

5. Energy and environment

6. Social statistics

The recent changes in the ministries have brought more departments in the fold of Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Irrigation.

The cluster consist of 12 departments related to agricultural statisticsMyanmar next agricultural census is scheduled in 2020The time schedule is also reported to Survey Coordination and statistical standards cluster group
