OBJECTIVEAt the end of the presentation, the participants should be able to prepare themselves for interviews for higher posts in a better way.

This interview needs intense preparation

It is not a walk –in interview

?

ExerciseWhat are your chances of clearing this

interviewAnd why you think so: Give 3 reasons for it

The first preparation is of mindset

The mindsetI have every chance to pass.I don’t believe on rumorsThere are 7 people to judge me, all

of them can’t be dishonest and bias. The other candidates are equal or

better than me, but I will compete.

Preparation

Dress code• The first impression we make is the

most important one.• The first judgment an interviewer

makes is going to be based on how you look and what you are wearing.

• That's why it's always important to dress professionally for a job interview.

If you wear Shalwar Qameez

It should be preferably white

Having a waste coat/Close shoes

For ladiesDress should not be very decorativeShould not be of very bright colours

I will recommend to wear A masculine perfume (Male)

Neutral perfume (Female)

Dress is not just the clothing

It is the whole attire

What will be the first question?

Please write down you introduction.

Introduction• This is the most important part of your interview:• In this talk you write the script of your interview• You can direct the interviewers towards your strong

areas and keep them away from the week ones.

Preparation of Introduction:Write down the introduction as a speechMention your strong areas and omit your

week areasAll statements must be positive statementsNo blame game in the introductionJust give the hints of your areas of interest

and leave the details: This will create questions of your choice in the mind of examiners.

If there is some extra curricular aspect: do mention it in positive tone.

Introduction: It should cover

The academicsService,Research,Teaching Extracurricular activities

Proper interview:Technical people

Research papersAreas of interestRecent advancementsMedical educationAny other topic

Proper interview:Non-technical:

TIPSNever confront: Interviewer has nothing to

loose.Give away, when the argument is becoming

rough Try to judge, what interviewer wants to listenHandle the derogatory remarks positivelyIf you don’t know the answer of an objective

question, frankly say that you don’t know it.Don’t loose temper, It is possible that your

nerves are being checked. It is good to have documentary proof in hand
