Aim = What you will know by the end of this unit

The aim of this unit is to develop the learners knowledge of the range of services and roles within health and social care ( adults, children and young people), early years and childcare.

Objectives

• Identify the role of a nursery worker• Explain the personal qualities demonstrated

by the nursery workers• Compare independent and informal care• Assess your own personal skills

Independent service provision

• All 3 / 4 year olds are eligible for free early years education the term after their 3rd birthday. These free hours can be used on a term time only basis (15 hours per week).
