• A season is a subdivision of the year, marked by changes in weather, ecology, and hours of daylight.

• There are various factors influencing the mass tourist flows during a particular season.

Winter tourism • There are two types of vacation preferences

in winter- destinations which have a warm climate and destinations which have heavy snowfall during the winter season.

• Winter tourism has two prime incentive: the search for snow & search for sunshine.
