Jadu TrainingHomepages & Widgets

A little about Jadu

• Jadu (Sanskrit). Pronounced: Jar-doo• Means: To control by the use of magic.• Jadu is a website content management system

(CMS) • Jadu is a UK based company

What is a Content Management System?

• A Content Management System, or a CMS enables non-technical content contributors to easily publish information in a web-based environment, that offers workflow control and collaboration

• A CMS’ strength is providing a consistent look and user experience site-wide with the use of feature rich ‘components’ or ‘widgets’

What are Jadu Homepages?

• We typically consider homepages as landing pages. This is not the case with Jadu.

• A Jadu homepage is a feature rich webpage which uses pre-built ‘widgets’ to add form and function.

• Your entire site may be built using only homepages.

What is a Widget?

• An application, or a component of an interface, that enables a user to perform a function or access a service

• Widgets control each element of content and functionality on a homepage

• Jadu provides 14 standard widgets; ITS and Web Services currently offer over 17 custom widgets for your use.

And now… the meat and bones of it all
