JOVAN LANDRY “OneThirdEmcee” - Recording Artist & Producer

Jovan Landry is an Interdisciplinary Artist with a focus in Film, Photography & Hip-Hop Music based in Chicago. The "One Third Emcee" is known for her articulated-conscious lyrics & high-energy stage presence. In 2008, at 16 years old, Jovan was introduced to music production, then months after, grabbing the pen to craft her own lyrics. Inspired by Left Eye, Eve, Common, Missy Elliott, Kendrick Lamar & Shawnna has allowed her find her voice & an outlet of expression. In the span of her career, Jovan has released 3 albums, collaborated with local artists & performed on over 60 shows, nationally & internationally. In 2016, Jovan added more versatility to her live performance by creating her 5-piece band “The Land.” In May 2017, Jovan was awarded with the Incubate Grant by WeWork Creator Awards in Detroit to create her 5th album “Synergy,” an all-women collaborative project (2018). WeWork invited to The Creator Awards in Berlin, Germany to talk about Synergy & her artistic endeavors. Currently Jovan is working on new album “Growth” set to release October 30, 2017.
