USING KSWAN SERVICES

Getting Ready to use KSWAN

Departments need to provide KSWAN User name and user-id to avail KSWAN services

Departments need to register GBC users Username and Password should be given by the

department for Dial-up connection

What is expected from Departments

Nominate a technical representative for co-ordination with Helpdesk for getting connected to KSWAN.

Provide proper UPS power to all KSWAN equipments.

Karnataka State Wide Area Network

Do’s Provide UPS power to run the equipment. Keep the equipments

(Router/Switch/LAN-Extender/Radios/IP Phones) switched on 24x7.

Ensure Security of the devices. Contact Helpdesk team for any technical guidance. Place request to Helpdesk for relocating the

equipment.

Do NOT Switch off equipments. Operate equipments without UPS Power. Troubleshooting without proper guidance from

Helpdesk Team. Remove power plug or Data Cable. Move the equipment from installed locations.
