In the Bible, Jordan is known

as Ammon, Moab, & Edom.

Ammon & Moab were the result of an incestuous union between a

father & his 2 daughters. (Gen. 19)

Edom (Esau) was a son of Isaac (Gen. 25)

A Moabite woman, was the great

grandmother of King David & an

ancestor of Jesus!

All the people who were in the court, and the

elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the

LORD make the woman who is coming into

your home like Rachel and Leah, both of whom

built the house of Israel; and may you

achieve wealth in Ephrathah and become

famous in Bethlehem.”

Ruth 4:11

Psalm 83 speaks of a future war where Ammon, Moab, & Edom (Jordan) join with other Muslim countries to try to

destroy Israel.

The Old Testament book of Daniel

declares that Moab, Ammon, & Edom will escape the hands of the future Antichrist!

He will also enter the Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall; but

these will be rescued out of his hand: Edom, Moab and the foremost of the
