Our Mission: To create a culture of safety in Madison County, Kentucky

Our Beliefs:

We recognize that preventable injuries of all types are a Public Health issue.

We recognize that no one entity or institution has the ability or resources to be the sole advocate for injury prevention.

We believe that the Community as a whole is better able to address injury prevention issues.

We believe that by increasing the awareness of partner activities, we can support each other and reduce duplication, making all our efforts more effective.

In response to tragic deaths that occurred on local highways, the Madison County Health Department recognized injury prevention as a public health issue and developed the Madison County Safety Coalition in 2000. Since the coalition's inception, it has been a leader in injury prevention efforts in our community.
