WHO CAN APPLY?

You may apply if you have:» A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited

college or university with a satisfactory GPA» Successfully completed any prerequisite courses

as indicated by program» One year of work experience

*Due to the part-time format of certificate programs, students requiring F-1 visa sponsorship are not eligible to apply.

CAN CREDITS BE APPLIED TO A DEGREE PROGRAM?

Yes! Up to 12 certificate credits may be applied toa Kogod MS program. Once you’re ready, you’llapply for admission to one of the MS programs andshould review the Application Guide for furtherinformation.

WHAT IF I AM ALREADY ENROLLED IN A DEGREE

PROGRAM?

Students currently enrolled in a Kogod MBA or MSprogram may add a certificate designation byspeaking with their academic advisor. Interested students should schedule an appointment todiscuss the benefits and feasibility of doing so withtheir academic advisor.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Begin the online application for admission kogod.american.edu/apply

Online Application Application fee of $100 USD Current Résumé Personal Statement Official transcripts from all universities attended Valid TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score (if applicable)

GMAT/GRE test scores are not required Letters of Recommendation are not required

In the online application, enter N/A for the name of the recommender along with offline submission - this will allow you to bypass the requirement and continue.
