Feature Review

Design #1

Design #2

Design #3

Try to get closer to our target (79 slips) with the following considerations: Consider the center dock reduction Dry sail crane area needs to be kept clear Junior Sailing needs to be able to launch in all

weather Generally place larger boats to the East and

smaller, more maneuverable boats to the West. Tighten turning radiuses and finger dock

spacing to be comparable to current KYC norms

Ryan Mulligan (Queen’s Coastal Engineer) Installing pressure sensors in July Will extract and provide actual wave data for

water lot Can continue to monitor into the fall

Shoreplan RFP will include performance specifications

based the wave study Direct data collected can be used to validate

the existing wave study.

Performance Specifications

No swimming in the harbour Electrical safety Traffic/Visibility

Outer JS launch ramp can be used for swimming

Possibly add an anchored swim raft 2/3 along the main attenuator

Ensure swim ladders are placed along exterior of all exterior docks/attenuators

Swimming could also occur to the East of spine A with adequate buoyage.

Swimming

Both ramps back down to the EastBoth interior and exterior ramps can be

used when weather is fairInterior ramp can be used when

conditions are roughBoth ramps can be used for member

dinghy and dry sail launching

JS & Dinghy Launch

No change in crane configurationFinger dock to the north can be used

for stagingBoats along North side of fixed break

wall placed such that a clear exit channel is maintained

Dry Sail Crane

Able Sail

Able Sail has suggested that Hoists be located on the South end of spine D and on the main attenuator where it meets with spine A.

RC Sailing

RC Sailors have indicated that they would like to continue using their current location on the fixed breakwall.

For North or South winds, they would like to sail to the East of spine A
