EXECUTION may be the most important and difficult thing about strategic planning.

It is critical to ensure the chapter is aware of the strategic plan and that habits are established to foster an execution mindset with FOLLOW THROUGH.

It is not enough to write the plan. YOU MUST IMPLEMENT IT.

Execute & Evaluate

29

Make sure that everyone in the chapter knows the plan exists, where to find it, how it affects him or her, and what objectives they personally impact when they serve on the board.

Execute & Evaluate

30

Make the Action Plan review a STANDING ITEM for all board meetings and make it the FIRST ITEM on the agenda.

Continually REVIEW PROGRESS against goals and gaps in planning

WATCH for CHANGES in membership, finances, CME competition, and other items from your Environmental Scan and SWOT Analysis

If something is not working, RE-THINK the use of valuable resources and consider alternate plans

Execute & Evaluate
