You want to be confident that this is a good fit for you or not.

Let me tell you about the Civil Air Patrol.

Civil Air Patrol educates adult and

community on the importance of

aerospace.

Aerospace education communicates knowledge, skills, and attitudes relating to aerospace activities.

Cadets complete aerospace education as they progress through levels of the cadet program.

Senior members learn about aerospace issues as Aerospace Education Officers and the Yeager Award.

The Aerospace Excellence Award Program is CAP’s hands-on aerospace activity program.

In its external program, AE educators receive free educational programs including orientation flights.

Provides support for educational conferences and workshops nationwide.

We have academic standards-based aerospace education curricula for kindergarten through college.

There are grants, awards, college credits and scholarship opportunities for all members.

Provides comprehensive aerospace education resources online.

The AE Program prepares youth for exciting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.

Academic standards-based products and programs are provided to educators at no cost.

CAP has educational products for robotics, remotely-piloted aircraft, satellite tracking, and cyber security.

Over $350,000 worth of academic and flight scholarships are offered annually.

Today's cadets are tomorrow's

aerospace leaders.

Sixteen achievements step cadets through the youth development program to great American citizens.

Educates youth in four program areas: leadership, aerospace, fitness and character development.

As cadet progress, the will pass through four phases: Learning, Leadership, Commanding, and Executive.

Offers orientation flights in powered and glider aircraft, and flight training scholarships.

Challenges youth to be ambassadors for a drug-free lifestyle.

Encampments challenge cadets to develop discipline and teamwork in an aerospace environment.

Cadets will be introduced to six core competencies of the United State Air Force and aerospace history.

Cadets will learn about the CAP missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services.

Cadets will also explore aviation career paths.

Provides opportunities to test-fly careers in aviation, space and technology through dozens of summer activities.

CAP cadets will experience what a prospective USAF pilot candidate experiences at SUPTFC-TX

Cadets in flight academies receive “hands on” flight time in a Cessna 172 along with ground instruction.

At glider academies, cadets receive instruction leading towards a private glider rating.

Cadets learn land navigation, survival techniques, rock climbing, rappelling, and other skills used in rescue

operations from pararescue specialists.

Hawk Mountain Ranger School has a proud history of providing outstanding search and rescue training.

Do you want to take the first step in becoming a model aircraft remote (R/C) control pilot?

The Honor Guard Academy teaches cadets how to run an Honor Guard Program within their unit.

Cadets learn about all five areas of space operations at the Space Familiarization Course.

At Cadet Officer School, cadets learn the Air Force approach to leadership, problem solving effective

writing, speaking, and group dynamics.

Here are some of the results of this great program.

Provides enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard at higher pay grade for cadets

who have earned the Gen. Billy Mitchell Award.

99.9% of cadets get appointment to military academy when earning Spaatz Award.

Provides about 10 percent of each year’s new classes entering U.S. Air Force Academy.

Cadets have a high success rate in AFROTC.

Combined with our college partners, we offer over $350,000 in scholarships.

Here are some successful citizens who were once cadets.

Air Force Col. Eric Boe piloted NASA's space shuttle Endeavour in the latest shuttle mission.

Major Nicole Malachowski is the first female Thunderbird pilot.

Major Shawna Rochelle Kimbrell the first black female fighter pilot.

CAP has a modern, well equipped ‐fleet of aircraft,

vehicles and equipment that is

exercised and utilized daily.

Civil Air Patrol flies a variety of different missions in support of the Air Force and local communities.

CAP flies more than 90 percent of all federal inland search-and-rescue missions directed by the Air Force.

Volunteer members fly disaster-relief officials to remote locations and provide manpower.

Performs aerial reconnaissance for homeland security.

CAP flies humanitarian missions transporting time-sensitive medical materials.

CAP performs several missions in direct support of the U.S. Air Force.

Assists federal law enforcement agencies in the war on drugs.

Before you can contribute to the emergency services program you will need training.

Our aircrews consist of a pilot, observer, and scanner.

Our ground teams consist of a ground team leader and members.

Our mission staff are trained in the incident command system from incident command to branch directors.

Let's explore Wyoming's Civil Air Patrol program.
