L. Alma Tadema was born in Holland, and formed in Antwerp and in London where its painting reaches its fullness. Painter framed in the late Victorian period, his style is a classic academic. His passion for traditional cultures is well reflected in the sophistication of his paintings. Incredibly forgotten, his work has become a value only four decades ago.
