Cardiff!

WSCNTL 2014, Kings HallLeading Care, Leading Teams - Innovating and Supporting Person-Centred Care

We ensure that everyone living in a Four

Seasons' home enjoys personalized care to meet

their individual health and social care needs.

* We are commited to providing

quality care to each and every

resident living in our services

We are one of the country's leading providers of

quality healthcare and it is our intention that

every Resident receiving care from us

experiences the very best available.

Services are provided across a range of settings,

meeting the needs of variety of people. It is

essential to us that excellence remains at the

forefront of our efforts.

* We will listen to our Residents to

enable us to provide them with

individual care and support based upon

what they are telling us.

We use a variety of methods to collect as much

detailed information as possible in relation to

specific likes, dislikes, needs and requests. The

care Residents receive is as close as possible to

that which they would choose for themselves if

they were able to.

* We will keep Residents informed,

respect their choices and value them

as a person

We share with Residents/relatives the required information that

they need to enable them to make decisions about their care.

This information includes details

about health, the home and the services that affect Residents.

We acknowledge the choices and decisions that

residents/relatives make and support them in maintaining

autonomy and independence. We recognize them as a unique

individual with their own views, opinions, preferences, needs

and values in order to support their personal fulfilment.

* we will care for Residents using the

most up to date information available

to us.

Health care is changing at a rapid pace and Four Seasons

Health Care recognizes the importance of utilizing research,

emerging evidence and best practice in order to deliver a

high standard of care.

We draw upon high levels of expertise, clinical experience

and professional literature. We share this knowledge and

information with our residents so that together we can

make the right decisions about their care.

* We will care for Residents in an

environment that is welcoming,

comfortable and safe.

We endeavor to provide a well maintained, appropriately decorated and odour free environment which feels welcoming for Residents and their visitors.

The home is kept safe, ensuring repairs are carried out and maintained in line with all relevant requirements and legislation.

All furnishings and equipment are clean,

in good repair and replaced as necessary.

All our residents live safely and protected

by those who care for them, respecting

the right to take reasonable risks.

All residents will be able to treat the home as their own, whilst respecting other peoples rights.

* We are committed to continually

developing our skills and knowledge

Four seasons health care ensure that all of their staff work to a

personal responsibility framework which will encourage them to

take responsibility to update their own knowledge and be

accountable for their own practice.

We work with our internal training department to monitor,

review and assess levels of competency within the staff group.

Supervision is carried out with staff to ensure that any relevant

training requirements are identified and provided.

* We believe that we work in

Residents home, not that they live in

our workplace

We understand that Residents have left their own

surroundings and most

of what is familiar to them.

We want them to feel

comfortable in the knowledge that this is their new

home and we will adapt our way of working, where

possible, to include their individual routines.
