Russell Valentino is appointed in both The University of Iowa departments of Russian and in Cinema and Comparative Literature. He received his Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from UCLA in 1993 and has published widely on Russian 19th and Istrian 20th-century literature and culture.
