PERSONAL WATER CRAFT-PWC PWC’s are powerboats designed to be operated by a

person sitting, standing, or kneeling on the vessel rather than inside the vessel.

PWC are deemed an inboard boat. PWC are pushed through the water by the action of a

water pump driven by the engine known as jet drive. Jet drives may also power larger vessels. ( jet boats).

The following are parts of the PWC * steering control * steering nozzle *port * stern * impeller *starboard * draft *bow * safety lanyard *drive shaft * intake grate

SAILBOATSSailboats vary in different sizes and shapes but

mainly consist of four components:The hull carries the passengers and supports

the riggingThe rigging included the shrouds, lines, sails,

and masts, booms, etc.The keel or centerboard is attached to the

bottom of the hull to off set the wind on the sail to prevent roll over.

The rudder is used to steer the sailboat and is controlled by a tiller or steering wheel.
