What is C.I.T.?

It describes the 3 things that are important

when considering environmental issues.

C.I.T. is actually a word that we made by ourselves.

C: Co-existence

I: Individuality

T: Two kinds of happiness

What does C stand for? C: Co-existence

By visiting the “Kyu-mizuta-tei”, we saw that in the past people were able to co-exist with nature without developed technology.

e.g. ) ・ Making big windows to increase ventilation.

・ Roofs made of “Susuki”.

・ No waste and recycling.

What does I stand for?

I: IndividualityPeople should face

environmental issues not passively but actively.

e.g.) In “Ohyama Senmaida”, Mr.Ishida Mitsuji said that they changed the regulations to make the NPO able to manage the

“Owner system”. They were engaged.

What does T stand for?

T: Two different kinds of wealthMr. Hayashi mentioned that the more we get rich, the

more we harm the environment. On the other hand, does having money mean happiness? The real happiness is being connected with everyone

within the community.

It depends on you, which lifestyle are you going to choose?

What are we doing?

Our ideas,・ Conserving marsh in “Sayama” hills Linked with) “C: Co-existing”・ Collecting used oil in our school cafeteria Linked with) “I: Individuality” ・ Picking up garbage surrounding our school. Linked with) “T: Two kinds of wealth”
