I do agree the small and compressed pictures do injustice to the beauty that stands there.
Underground wonders – Luray Caverns,
Shenandoah Valley, Virginia
Salil, chose this site amongst various options.
These creations of nature stand on par with ice caves and crystal caves.
Percolating water with salts and akin have formed these shapes in past thousands of years.
Shapes grow just an inch or so in 100 years.
Last two pictures show a Wishing Well, where small ponds get formed. People call them “Wishing Well”. Visitors put coins with a wish. This is the account of the money used for different charities.
Nice change from what we see in our part of world.
