MADRID METRO NETWORK PUBLIC TRANSPORT FARES

Madrid - Barajas Airport has a Metro station on line :

Aeropuerto, sited between terminals .

Access is easy and well sign-posted. Trains run from 6

a.m. through to 1:30 a.m. The new terminal can

be reached by Metro from Bajaras station (the end of

line 8) by EMT bus 201 and from Aeropuerto station

by the free AENA shuttle buses that run between termi-

nals T2, T3 and T4.

There are several EMT bus connections to Madrid-Barajas Airport:

• Terminals : access on route 200 from Avenida de America (con-

nections with Metro lines 4, 6, 7 and 9) or on route 101 from Canillejas (con-

nection with Metro line 5).

• New Terminal : access on route 204 from Avenida de America (connec-

tions with Metro lines 4, 6, 7 and 9) or on route 201 from Barajas (connection

with Metro line 8).

Service timetables vary from one route to another, but the services generally

operate between 6 o’clock in the morning and 11 o’clock at night.

If you use two bus routes or the metro and a bus, you will have to buy two tick-

ets unless you use a travel pass (Multi-Mode Passes).

Route 822 leaves from terminal to the city of Coslada and its Local Railway

Station.

Route 827 leaves from terminal to the cities of Alcobendas, San Sebastián

de los Reyes and Tres Cantos, and with the Canillejas Metro Station (to Madrid).

Service timetables vary from one route to another, but they run from 6 o’clock in

the morning until 11 o’clock at night.

LOCAL RAILWAY LINES: There is no Renfe local railway station that provides

direct access to Madrid – Barajas Airport, but Metro line offers a 12-minute

connection between the Nuevos Ministerios railway station and the airport. From

this train terminus, you can change to the long distance railway stations of

Chamartin and Atocha. High speed trains (AVE) leave from Atocha.
