Make a Joyful NoiseVU 820

Make a joyful noise all the earth! Worship your God with gladness. Make a joyful noise all the earth. Come to this place with a song!

Know that your God has made you. Know it’s to God we belong. And come to this place with joyfulness and praise. Worship your God with a song!

Make a joyful noise all the earth! Worship your God with gladness. Make a joyful noise all the earth. Come to this place with a song!

Enter these gates, thanksgiving. Enter these courts with praise. Sing thanks to your God and bless the holy Name. Worship your God with a song!

Make a joyful noise all the earth! Worship your God with gladness. Make a joyful noise all the earth. Come to this place with a song!

Ages through endless ages, seasons of endless years, the love of our Maker ever shall endure. Worship your God with a song!

Make a joyful noise all the earth! Worship your God with gladness. Make a joyful noise all the earth. Come to this place with a song!

Like Job we have put our trust in GOD. Like Job, we question God and seek to know God face-to-face.

Like Bartimaeus, we call out to God from our blindness. Like Bartimaeus, we experience God’s healing presence in our lives.

May we Listen for God’s voice, and see God’s face in others. May we be God’s voice, and reflect God’s face to others!

May this flame remind us of the peace of God. May the warmth of its glow remind us of the warmth of God's everlasting love. For gathering today in this sacred space, we light the flame.

Hope of the WorldVU216

Hope of the world, O Christ of great compassion, speak to our fearful hearts by conflict rent; save us, your people, from consuming passion, who by our own false hopes and aims are spent.

Hope of the world, God’s gift from highest heaven, bringing to hungry souls the bread of life, still let your Spirit unto us be given to heal earth’s wounds and end its bitter strife.

Hope of the world, afoot on dusty highways, showing to the wandering souls the path of light, walk now beside us lest the tempting byways lure us away from you to endless night.

Hope of the world, who by your cross has saved us from death and dark despair, from sin and guilt; we render back the love your mercy gave us; take now our lives, with them your kingdom build.

Hope of the world, O Christ, o’er death victorious, who by this sign has conquered grief and pain, we would be faithful to your gospel glorious. You are our Lord! You shall forever reign.

Healing God, we come here seeking wholeness. Open our eyes to see your presence.

Caring God, we come to you with all our concerns. Help us to trust that our faith can make us whole.

Loving God, surround us and all people, with your amazing love. Embolden us to follow in your way. May it be so with us.

Magic Nickel

Love is something, if you give it away, give it away, give it away, Love is something, if you give it away, you’ll end up having more.

It’s just like a magic nickel. Hold it close, it’s so fickle. Lend it, spend it, and you’ll feel a tickle of joy from head to toe.

Love is something, if you give it away, give it away, give it away, Love is something, if you give it away, you’ll end up having more.

It’s just like a magic nickel. Hold it close, it’s so fickle. Lend it, spend it, and you’ll feel a tickle of joy from head to toe.

Love is something, if you give it away, give it away, give it away, Love is something, if you give it away, you’ll end up having more.

Jesus, Friend of Little ChildrenVU 340

Jesus, friend of little children, let me be one too; take my hand and ever keep me close to you.

Teach me how to grow in goodness, daily as I grow. You have been a child, and surely you must know.

Never leave me, nor forsake me; ever be my friend; for I need you, from life’s dawning to its end.

Our Father in heaven,Hallowed be your name,

Your kingdom come,Your will be done on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who

sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and

deliver us from evil

For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and

forever.

As Jesus left Jericho with the disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (that is, the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting at the side of the road.

When Bartimaeus heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and to say, 'Descendant of David, Jesus, have pity on me.'

And many of them scolded him and told him to be quiet, but Bartimaeus only shouted all the louder, 'Descendant of David, have pity on me!'

‘Courage,' they said, ‘get up; Jesus is calling you.' So throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped up and went to Jesus.

Then Jesus spoke,'What do you want me to do for you?’’ 'Rabbuni,' the blind man said, 'Let me see again.’

Jesus said, 'Go; your faith has saved you.' And immediately his sight returned and Bartimaeus followed him along the road.

Jesu, Jesu, fill us with your love, show us how to serve the neighbours we have from you.

Neighbours are rich and poor, varied in colour and race, neighbours are near and far away.

Jesu, Jesu, fill us with your love, show us how to serve the neighbours we have from you.

Giving God, we bring you these gifts today from our lives that are rich with your blessing. Receive them with our thankfulness for all you have done in our lives, and use them to make a difference in the lives of others. Amen.

O God of many names, Lover of all nations, we pray for peace in our hearts, in our homes, in our nations, and in our world. For the peace you willed, we pray. Amen

A Light Is GleamingVU 82

A light is gleaming, spreading its arms throughout the night, living in the light. Come share its gladness, God’s radiant love is burning bright, living in the light.

When light comes pouring into the darkest place, it hurts our eyes to see the glow. Sometimes a word of hope reminds us of our fears, our memories and tears.

A light is gleaming, spreading its arms throughout the night, living in the light. Come share its gladness, God’s radiant love is burning bright, living in the light.

When night is round us and every shadow grows, a star is there to light our way. It tells a story of Jesus who came near to say: “God’s light will ever stay.”

A light is gleaming, spreading its arms throughout the night, living in the light. Come share its gladness, God’s radiant love is burning bright, living in the light.

And Jesus showed us a brighter path to walk. He showed us thing we hadn’t seen. Now we, like Jesus, can help creation shine, and this will be a sign:

A light is gleaming, spreading its arms throughout the night, living in the light. Come share its gladness, God’s radiant love is burning bright, living in the light.

So let us live in the brightness God has giv’n, and let us rise to see the dawn. We trust that God is here a sparkle and ablaze, -- warming all our days.

A light is gleaming, spreading its arms throughout the night, living in the light. Come share its gladness, God’s radiant love is burning bright, living in the light.

O God, send us forth from this place renewed in our faith with eyes that see you, ears that hear you, and hearts that are beginning to know you.

Send us into your world to serve, to bring healing and comfort, peace and good news in all we say and do. Amen.
