• The Spirit Lander has found a number of

obviously artificial devices on the Martian

surface.

• These objects appear to be part of an

advanced plasma thruster technology and

a hydraulic control mechanism

look at the “Piston” has revealed that it is

in fact a mechanism housing, possibly for

the hydraulic pump required by the other

pieces found at the Gusev landing site.
