Programme Profile

Program Aim

• The aim of the programme is to produce Safety and Health Managers / Advisors who have a wide range of advanced knowledge and skills in the specialised areas to deal with the demands of the new development in the field of occupational safety and health and contribute to the success of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Master Plan 2020.

Programme Education Objectives

PEO1 • Having in-depth and specialised knowledge and technically competent in the

safety and health field

• Capable of solving such complex problems in safety and health and conduct research adhered to legal, ethical and professional codes of practice to advise on improved safety and health innovations in an organisation.

PEO3 • Capable to demonstrate leadership qualities through communicating and

working effectively with peers and stakeholders.

• Capable to keep up to date with the global changes through knowledge management and recognise the need of lifelong learning for successful career advancement.

1. Acquire and apply significant advanced specialised knowledge in the field of safety and health. (Knowledge in Specific Area)

Courses Offered in MOSHRM

Entry Requirement: APEL Entry

The candidate should be more than 30 years of age in the year of application; AND STPM / Recognised Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent; AND Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; AND Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio & Interview) conducted by OUM

Entry Requirement: Normal Entry

Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology Management or any other related areas with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by Senate; OR Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology Management or any other related areas with CGPA less than 2.50, can be accepted with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
