You can use Excel’s Chart Wizard to quickly and easily create charts.
The Chart Wizard is a series of dialog boxes that prompt you for information about the chart you want to generate

Choosing a data series
Charts are based on tables with categories (usually in the rows) and series of values (usually in the columns).
They typically display; categories on the horizontal axis (X-axis) values on the vertical axis (Y-axis)

A chart can have several data series all plotted against a common set of category values.

Types of Charts
Pie – display only one series of values. Combined, all of the values in this one series of values make up 100% of the pie.
Column and Bar (Histogram) – can hold many series of values. The horizontal axis displays categories
Line chart – horizontal axis holds categories (name or labels)
XY (Scatter) – line with real values on both horizontal and vertical axies.
