Quotes

“When you see another person not going on spiritually, God has not given

you that discernment that you may criticize but that you may intercede.”

Oswald Chambers

Quotes

“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing

but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth. God does nothing but in answer

to prayer.”John Wesley

Quotes

“The one concern of the devil is to keep saints from prayer. He fears nothing from prayerless studies,

prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our

wisdom, but trembles when we pray.”Samuel Chadwick

Quotes

“Prayer is the breathing and panting of the spirit after God. It is a taking hold of the willingness of God, rather than

an overcoming of His reluctance. It is a tuning in on the great, thunderous two-

thousand-year-old prayer meeting going on in the glory above.”

Cameron V. Thompson

Jewish Thought:The vengeful person will find vengeance from the Lord and her/his sins she/he will surely treasure up. Forgive the wrong of your neighbor and then when you pray your sins will be released. Can a person keep wrath against a person and then seek healing from the Lord? Can someone not have mercy on someone like herself/himself and pray for their own sins? For a person, being made of flesh, who retains wrath, who will atone for that person’s sins? Remember your last days and stop hating, (remember) decay and death and keep the commandments (Sirach 28:1-6).

How Do I Forgive?

Remember the debt you have been forgiven.

How Do I Forgive?

Remember the debt you have been forgiven.

Rely on the Holy Spirit to enable you to forgive. The word “forgive” literally means “to release, to let go of.” Simply put, forgiveness is letting go of my right to hurt you for hurting me.

Recognize the personal benefit of forgiveness. It is possible to develop a root of bitterness that will defile you and many others (Heb 12:15).
