What is Sportivate?• Capturing the excitement of sport to provide
opportunities for young people to receive coached activity in the sport of their choice and guiding them into regular participation within their community.
Focus on the 11-25 age range Provide 6 to 8 weeks of activity Fulfil a clear demand for a
particular sport or activity
Well-defined exit routes into more sustainable community sports provision
YSJ Sportivate Portfolio
• NYS & YSJ working to provide 25 K sports clubs with funded 6 week blocks of activity
• Bids collated and managed by YSJ and delivered by each club with MW support.
• Each club will sign up new participants using the Sportivate registration form.
• Keep a register of attendance - Success Factor 1: The number of people doing at least 5 weeks of a 6 week block)
• Enter reporting on the Sportivate portal
YSJ Sportivate Portfolio• Success Factor 2: Approximately half the
total number of participants coming from the Inactive group
• Classed as those doing 0 to 3 occasions of sport in previous 28 days (taken directly from Q7 of the participant registration form)
• Do not count: Any timetabled activity / a ‘kick-about’ with friends / walking or cycling to Uni…. We want to know where someone has made a decision to attend a coached / formal session

Key points for you as club leads• That you try and encourage participants to let
Sport England email them a very short tracking survey @ 3 months post programme

• NYS are under pressure to get more people completing the surveys for tracking purposes and want YSJ’s support with this.
