Taking a Peek

Classroom Learning Management System

by

Meg Tufano, M.A.

Clean Interface!

Guided Tour

Easy to Add Students

Teacher Announcements Clean/Clear

Teacher can post attachments, Drive assets, YouTube, or links. VERY nice!

Drag and Drop from Drive

N. This is the Drive WITHIN the EDU.

Embedding a YouTube in Announcements

Can Post a Pic AND a (different) Link Easily

Still creating an Announcement with a Pic. One may add comments. ••• And share inside the EDU.

But this seemingly benign-lookinglink leads to . . . (see next slide) . . .

We’re in the Chrome Store with every distraction possible. Not sure whether this is available to students or not.

If I had a say, I’d say “NOT!” Too distracting.

Back to the Tour (Still in Announcements)

Can create URL links to comments.

One can set Email Notification Levels

One may comment to a point INSIDE of a picture. Very cool. (When pic is muted, you know you are in Comments.)

What you see when you click on “Help.”(We are still inside of “Announcements.”)

It APPEARS that one could share an Announcement with the world (public URL).

It APPEARS one must “update” through “refresh.” Not sure students would know to do that.

Creating an Assignment

Google gives a good tour for creating Assignments

Easy access to assignment resources.

Due Dates (Hope they integrate calendars.)And do not require date-by-date entry of Assignments. <sigh>

Nice feature. See at a glance how many have handed in the Assignment.

All in all, looks very streamlined, very easy to use. Hope they will incorporate Calendars. Have not checked out what reports are available as yet. Intuitive design. Assume Google Groups will be part of the software.

More when I know more! So far, so good!
