ERICH J MOFFITT

Erich J Moffitt is an illustrator and exhibiting visual artist.

In 1998, he moved from rural Austria to the United States. In 2007 he received his

Bachelor of the Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the University of North

Carolina at Charlotte. His paintings and drawings have been exhibited at the McColl

Center for the Visual Arts, and Genome Gallery. He has contributed work to

numerous shows hosted by independent arts organizations throughout Charlotte-

Piedmont region.

SCOTT PARTRIDGE

I l ike to view my work not so much as del iberate motivated action, but

rather the natural consequence of my presence in the world.

My genre can be most closely compared to early 20th century

surrealism, in that the landscapes and inhabitants of consciousness

figure prominently as themes and also as guiding forces that shape my

style. It is difficult to assess how successful ly I have mined the

subconscious, however, and so I don't make that pursuit the focal point

of my activities.

COLLABORATION

Erich and Scott collaborated on two pieces for Megafauna. One is a painting of

mighty mythical creatures. The other is a massive sculpture of a Leviathan.
