Volume 2012 Issue 6 - Jun 2012
I would like to wish everyone in the Legion Family a very happy and enjoyable Memorial Day Week-end. Don't forget our Parade at 9:00 AM, starting at the Cicero Cemetery and the Ceremony and Open House at the Legion following the ceremony up at the Monument. There are a few great events coming up at the Legion, a dance in the Pavilion on July 22nd, with Papa Joe's Band, food and drink for sale, also a Beach Party, also in the Pavilion on August 4th, sponsored by the Auxiliary and Sons, both events sound great, more info to follow. Check the bulletin board. Also the biggest event is the Clamfest on June 30th. So mark your calendars for a lot of fun. Today is Armed Forces Day, and we have an Open House from 1 PM ‘til 4 PM, hope you all attend, we will have refreshments. Also, our Installation Banquet for all new officers will be on Sunday, June 3rd. A sign-up list will be posted. Congratulations to all new incoming officers, and a great big THANK YOU to all the Executive Board staff who have helped me over the last two years, it has been a wonderful experience and I am truly grateful for having served as Commander for the Legion. Also, the Legion Family with their leaders has been a tremendous help, keep up the good work. Good luck to Mark Adams and his new Executive Board. Take care everyone, there is a lot to enjoy around the Post, so please come in, volunteer and enjoy your Post. Pat

We need more sons to attend our meetings we have a busy
year ahead of us. We will be taking more shirt orders for anyone
wishing to order one see Bill or sign up on sheet at legion.
If any son’s member would like anything put in our news
please let me know. You can leave me a note in our mailbox or call

member. The annual cash raffle to be drawn at clam fest will soon be
underway. I would like to see as many sons at our Memorial Day

with more help thank you. The sons are also looking at putting on a
breakfast for the bass master tournament as soon as we get a date
more info to follow.
Lastly and most importantly everyone keep the 427th Bri-
gade in your prayers and thoughts. Some of these troops are our own
members.
I’m looking forward to seeing you around at the post and
our meetings.
Thank you,
Bill Bell

Well – this will be my last article as President of
the Ladies Auxiliary. It has been a very good
year and I’m very pleased with everything the
Auxiliary has accomplished. It has become a
very strong organization and I only hope it con-
tinues to be so. I have enjoyed my year, but am
looking forward to sitting back!
My sincere congratulations to Linda Jackson as
elected President. Linda has been an asset to
our organization ever since she joined and I
know she will do an excellent job in her new po-
sition. Please support her as you have supported
past presidents.
Thank you all again for allowing me to serve as
your President. It has been a pleasure and I’m
not going to disappear. Everyone have a won-
derful and safe summer.

Work Part Time for the rescue mission?
We are extending our hours, this would be a part time position, 4 pm
to 8 or 9 pm, we are open 7 days a week and I need to hire 2 people
per donation center so we can split the days and hours.
The job is greeting our donors, assisting them with their donations,
and then sorting the donations into the appropriate carts.
