Vivian Lui Vivian Lui has recently returned to the classroom from positions at The University of Queensland (UQ) and Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority. She is interested in sharing her passion for Mathematics with students and teachers. During her time at UQ, Vivian has collaboratively developed a suite of maths workshops with Dr. Adam Piggott from Australian National University which aims to provide mathematically rich, and 'low-floor, high-ceiling' opportunities for students of all abilities to engage with. Spot it!Spot it! is a fun card game, with symbols on each card. Players turn over two cards at a time, and spot the matching symbol. There is always exactly one match between any two cards. How does this work? We will show you how to make your own deck using symbols of your choice and challenge your understanding of what makes a task mathematical.
