• Phones are managed using Lync Server 2010 manageability infrastructure

Aries Common Area Scenario

• Admin sets up common area account

• Admin designates policies for common area phone (e.g. dial plan, allowable call functions)

• MAC tech installs and logs into phone

• Phone is available for common area usage

• Different common area phone usages (e.g. lobby, conference) can have different usage policies

• Admin designates a common area phone as hotdesking-enabled

• Admin sets idle timeout value

• MAC tech installs phone which operates in common area mode

• Phone indicates that user needs to sign in

• User signs in by entering PIN or by pairing phone to PC
