Problem we are trying to address:There is a wide disparity in childhood immunization
(vaccination) coverage In India, many of the common vaccines (example: DPT
vaccine, Polio vaccine) provided under Universal Immunization Program (UIP)
but several others that are not provided under UIP: Chickenpox (Varicella) Pneumococcal infection HiBHep A MMR

MMR vaccination Project 2010Launched on: April 7, 2010 (World Health Day)Where: Narnaul area of Haryana (95 miles from
Delhi)Target Population: Kids from poor S-E strataModel:
MIF pays for the cost of the vaccine as vaccine given free. 1. MIF Clinic: Twice a week at Narnaul - Provided at MIF’s clinic by a certified health care
provider 2. Field Visits: Intra-city & Villages. 3. Families can also go to a designated pediatrician for
vaccination and MIF reimburses the cost to the physician Target: 4000 vaccines in Narnaul area in 1 year Over 1500 vaccines given as of Sept 25,2010.
