MSAP OBJECTIVES

Develop the games of Chess, Bridge and Scrabble by:

• Providing resources to academic institutions to establishMind Sports Clubs

• Promote public awareness for the value of developing minds especially amongst the youth of Pakistan

• Organize local, national and international competitions

QUOTING THE ARMY CHIEF, INTER-SERVICES PUBLIC RELATIONSSAID: "PAKISTAN IS BLESSED WITH THE MOST TALENTED ANDVIBRANT YOUTH, WHICH IS OUR REAL DEFENCE."

STRATEGIC DIRECTION

• Seek commitment from stakeholders including media to further strengthen the initiative and reach key cities across Pakistan

• Engage like-minded individuals for taking active part in promotion of healthy activities through Mind Sports

• For effective presence, utilize the widespread medium of academia

• Establish Mind Sports Club (s) initially at Schools in Karachi followed by Lahore and Islamabad during phase 1 starting 2019 and completing in 2024.

THE APPROACH

• Engage institution’s relevant departments for overall facilitation and coordination for Chess competition initially

• Leverage all needed support centrally from MSAP for aligned monitoring to achieve objectives

• Zindagi Trust used the platform of MSAP and already made a huge impact at school level.

• ENGRO Foundation is supporting this initiative by providing required financial assistance for implementation of MSAP Chess program at The Citizens Foundation Schools effective 2019.

WAY FORWARD

• Identify the institutions and encourage them to partake in the Academia Outreach Program for Mind Sports. As step one MSAP have entered into an arrangement with “The Citizens Foundation” Schools

• Provide training facilities to teachers of onboard institutions and organize Chess classes and Tournaments

• Create maximum awareness amongst interested students for self-development and stronger skill set for mind activities via workshops and coaching

• Infuse an element of competition, clarity, precision in the youth of Pakistan

• Association’s intellectual contribution to supplement institution’s infrastructural and logistical bandwidth

• Official forum for leadership and motivation through Mind Sports
