FINANCIAL BONDAGE

Proverbs 22:77 The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.

Servant – in Hebrew  is  ebed.

 (eh’-bed).  Ebed means bondage.

If you are in debt, you are a slave to

bondage.

How do you know if you are in financial

bondage?

I want to tithes but I am afraid there won’t be enough left to pay my bills.

THE BALANCE OF

HAVING DEBT

Being in debt is not a sin but dangerous.

House debt is probably the wisest debt. Some business debt is good to leverage and help your business.Too much debt is always dangerous.

Financial Commitment

vs. Financial Bondage

We need to live within our income

Matthew 6:2121 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

JESUS TALKS ABOUT

FINANCES

*60 % of Parables

*The Gospels 1 out of 10 verses deals directly with money

*2,300 verses in the bible

*5x than subject of Prayer and Faith

ONE OF THE PROBLEM :

FINANCIAL LIES

EXAMPLE:

We want to see our children end up financially successful than us but the problem is they are spending so much than saving.

Spending your money in purchasing products that depreciates quickly drains the value of your money.

Businesses for years have been very successfully marketing DEBT, and they have succeeded at convincing our generation to feel good about being in bondage.

THE CREDIT CARD BONDAGE

People with credit cards are tempted to buy things they do not need and pay things they don’t have money for. Credit card companies loves it.

GOD HAS GIVEN EACH ONE OF US A

BUSINESS

God has given each one of us His resources TIME, TALENT & TREASURES

God will channel His blessings in these areas.

Luke 16:1 Jesus told His disciples: “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.

Luke 16:8

And the unjust steward's lord commended him because he had done wisely. For the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

WE ARE MANAGERS OF

GOD’S BUSINESS

God owns all of our business, and God loves you and trusts you to manage His resources.

PLAN FOR YOUR

BUSINESS

“If you fail to plan; then you plan to fail.”

JC. Penney said,“Give me a store clerk with a goal, and I will give you a person who will change the world. But give me a person without a goal, and I’ll show you a store clerk.”

Proverbs 21:5

Planning, seeking God, leads to prosperity, and blessings and profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.

What is your vision that God has given you?

What’s your mission?  Define it.  Seek God.

You want to be driven and led by God, not by money.

Luke 16:13b says, you cannot love/serve

both God and money.

Romans 13:8

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves another has fulfilled the Law.
