DESCRIPTION
An overview of the work of Miriam Schaer whose sculptural book work, installation and photography to house stories which reveal and honor the beauty and struggle of tiny moments; battles won and lost in everyday life. She seeks to answers to questions that are unknowable. Her recent series, The Presence of Their Absence uses photography to explore society's view of women with out children and questions the role of motherhood in the age of advanced technology. This work is part of an ongoing series that will be incorporated into an artist book to be published in 2014.
