FIRST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT SCRIPTS

HAVE THEIR PLACE WHEN COLD CALLING.

ESPECIALLY IN THE BEGINNING BECAUSE

WHEN I FIRST JOINED NETWORK

MARKETING I HAD THE SAME QUESTION

THAT ALL NEWBIE'S IN THIS INDUSTRY

HAVE.

AND THAT QUESTION IS SIMPLY…..

“WHAT DO I SAY TO MY

PROSPECT?

SO I PERSONALLY THINK THAT SCRIPTS

HAVE THEIR PLACE, AT LEAST IN THE

BEGINNING ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEONE

NEW TO THE INDUSTRY.

HE SAID “LOOK, ALL A REHEARSED OR

COLD CALLING SCRIPT REALLY DOES IS

PUT UNDUE PRESSURE AND TENSION ON

YOU AND YOUR PROSPECT FOR THE

CLOSE.

AS HE WENT ON WITH HIS EXPLANATION

I BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND HIS POINT AND

WHERE HE WAS COMING FROM.

I KNOW I’M GOING TO HIT IT AND THEY

KNOW THAT’S IT’S COMING.

I BEGAN TO SEE THAT AS I’M

RAMBLING THROUGH MY SCRIPT AT

SOME POINT I AM GOING TO HIT THE

“CLOSE THE PROSPECT” BUTTON.

HE EXPLAINED THAT REMOVING THE

TENSION AND AWKWARDNESS OF

FUMBLING OR RAMBLING THROUGH A

SCRIPTED PRESENTATION AND CLOSE IS

ACTUALLY EASIER THAN EVEN I

THOUGHT.

A QUICK SIDE NOTE: IF THE PROSPECT

HAS BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK THEY

WILL USUALLY CUT YOU OFF AND SAY

“GET TO THE POINT!”

AND THAT IS USUALLY CODE FOR “I’M

REALLY NOT INTERESTED” OR “WHAT IS

IT” AND “HOW MUCH DOES IT COST.”

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THAT

SITUATION KNOW THAT YOUR

ENGAGEMENT WITH THAT PROSPECT IS

ABOUT TO END.

BACK ON POINT: SO, ONCE MY MENTOR

SHARED THIS NEXT SECRET WITH ME I

TRULY UNDERSTOOD THE POINT HE WAS

TRYING TO MAKE.

WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE GOING TO CLOSE

THAT PARTICULAR LEAD INTO YOUR

BUSINESS SHOOT RIGHT ON PAST IT.

START TRAINING THEM FROM

THE OUTSET!

BEGIN BY PROVIDING THEM

INFORMATION, SOME REAL VALUE.

IT SENDS THE MESSAGE TO YOUR

PROSPECT THAT SAYS YOU’RE MORE

THAT JUST A SPONSOR….. YOU’RE A

COACH!!

NOW LEAN IN FOR THIS NEXT COMMENT.

IT TELLS THE PROSPECT THAT YOU ARE

GOING TO HELP THEM GET TO WHERE

THEY WANT TO GO FASTER AND EASIER

THAN IF THEY TRIED ON THEIR OWN.

OR BETTER YET IF THEY TRY WITH A LESS QUALIFIED DISTRIBUTOR THAT CAN’T TEACH THEM WHAT THEY NEED TO KNOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND REACH THEIR GOALS.

IT’S A VERY POWERFUL

MESSAGE!!

AND MORE IMPORTANTLY IT SETS YOU

APART FROM ALL THE OTHER

DISTRIBUTORS IN YOUR PRIMARY

BUSINESS.

IN DOING SO, IF YOU’RE PROSPECT IS

INTERESTED IN YOUR OPPORTUNITY

THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO JOIN
