A Couple of Notes

• Only staff may authorize and coordinate interactions between shelter visitors and shelter animals. Please direct any requests to a staff member.

• Children must remain under the direct supervision of their parent/guardian at all times.

Before entering any area check for loose dogs or staff that may be handling some of our more challenging animals.

All dogs must be leashed before leaving kennels so be sure to grab what you need before heading back.

NEVER enter the kennel or handle a dog that

you are afraid of. SAFETY first.

Report any bites immediately.

Use body block techniques to prevent dogs from getting away while you enter and exit kennels.

When walking dogs in kennel areas be sure to walk them opposite and at least 2’ from kennels.

When walking by other dogs be sure to walk with the dogs on opposite sides so they do not come in contact with each other.
