What is iEARN?

• It is the world's largest network that let teachers and youth to use the Internet and other technologies to collaborate on projects.

• The goal of this project is to make students learn something different from other parts of the country.

iEARN is divided in three groups

• Creative and Language Arts

• ‘Humanities and Social Sciences

• Math, Science, Environment and Technology

Creative and Language Arts

Projects like School Theater International, Music Around the World, Laws of Life: Virtues Essay Project and etc.

Humanities and Social Sciences

In this area includes such projects as Kindred, Folk Costumes Around the World, Local History Project and etc.

Math, Science, Environment and Technology

In this part invites you to do researches such as in Solar Cooking Project, Youth Can, Leaving Footprints and others.

How Long?

• Ongoing projects which run year after year continuously.

• Short-term projects with a stated start and end date.

Why are we doing this project?

• The dean of Academic Affairs’ Office, Miso, suggested we have to do the project.

• Instead of boring books, we learn something new from others.

• To learn English in a different way and to meet other youth from other countries.

What are you going to do in this class?

• You are going to divide into small groups of 6 - 7.

• Find a leader for your group

• You are going to do a lot of research.

• After our project, we are going to share it internationally.

The Purpose The purpose of the My City and

Me Project is to research the advantages and disadvantages of living in a particular city, to participate in the district life, and to learn more about local governments, including what these government agencies are doing for youth in their territory.
