Rules in Hiragana

(1) Long vowel sounds (aa, i i , uu, ee, oo) Long vowel sounds can be written TWO ways: 1: aa, ii, uu, ee, oo OR shortened to a vowel with a line above it: ā, ī, ū, ē, ō ★ aa is represented by ADDING あ For example: okaasan (mother) è おかあさん

Your turn: māmā (so so) ___________________ ★ ii is represented by ADDING い For example: oniisan (older brother) è おにいさん
