• About 12000 people died in MOH hospitals due to circulatory disease and cancer in 2010.

• Caused by the globalization process that absorbing the unhealthy lifestyle from the western developed country.

• The main issues in Malaysia: Increasing prevalence of diabetes High number of “undiagnosed” Unsatisfactory quality of care

• Change the concentration of sugar in the food production

• Change the chemical composition of sugar so that it will be readily absorb in the body

• Change the type of sugar used in the food, from white sugar to brown sugar
