Wouldn’t it be great if kids all over Nebraska were talking about books? The Nebraska Library Commission & the Regional Library Systems have a program where kids can all read and discuss the same book. Join Sally Snyder, the NLC's Coordinator of Children and Young Adult Library Services, to learn all about One Book For Nebraska Kids and One Book For Nebraska Teens. NCompass Live - May 6, 2009.

The statewide reading program for adults began in 2005 with

suggested we provide a similar program for children or teens.

One Book for Nebraska Kids began in 2007 with

Rescue Josh McGuire by Ben Mikaelsen

The 2009 One Book for Nebraska Kids

isThe Green Glass Sea by

Ellen Klages

Around 20 Children’s and Teen Librarians in Nebraska – they make it work!
