BAND of BROTHERS - Shindigs This is the dsc men’s group. We strategically gather three times a year en masse to build fraternity, receive instruction, be inspired, and possibly ingest food. Each January we have the FUEGO event, in May or June we have THE GATHERING, and in September we have MAN CAMP.

Areas of FocusNEXT101 – SAVED: New BelieversNEXT101 is for those that have just accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior (New Believers) or for those that have been believers for a long time. We will cover the fundamentals of Salvation, Lordship, Religion vs. Relationship, What is the Church of Jesus Christ, Introduction to dsc and how to write your personal testimony. The coursework is covered over nine classes/sessions.

NEXT201 – SET APART: DiscipleshipNEXT201 is the perfect NEXT step for any believer who desires instruction in the foundational truths of God’s Word. Whether for new believers or veteran Christians, these teachings help secure strong foundations for future ministry and the training of others. We will cover the fundamental spiritual disciplines of: Studying the Bible, Prayer & Fasting, Worship & the Ordinances of the Church: Water Baptism Communion. The coursework is covered over four classes/sessions.

NEXT301 – SIGNED-UP: MembershipNEXT301 is an afternoon seminar that will immerse you into the vision and strategy of Desert Springs Church. This enables believers who have been attending the Church for three months to evaluate their own commitment before becoming an official member. Membership at Desert Springs Church is viewed as a public and formal declaration of agreement with the vision and doctrine of the church and expression of a desire to become a committed and active participant.

NEXT401 – SERVING: Builders of the ChurchNEXT401 is training is designed to train and equip every member of dsc in the fundamental skills and philosophy of Christian ministry. NEXT401 will inspire and motivate every believer to move from observation to participation. The goal is to mobilize every member into the work of the ministry of the local church by helping them understand what it means to serve, how to work as a team, where we receive our authority for ministry, the importance of being commissioned to serve and discovering what your spiritual gifts are and how to use them in the church. The coursework is covered over six classes/sessions.

NEXT501 – STRATEGIC: LeadershipNEXT501 training is for those members who are ready to begin discipling others and fulfilling the great commission of Christ. Focusing on intercession, leadership and people skills, this training offers high level training for those who want to help lead the church through small groups and other ministries. This course will enable and empower mature believers to operate under the authority of Christ and the Church in winning souls and making disciples.
