OUR SUMMER CAMP IS SECOND TO NONE!

This is not a regular summer camp; it’s a Leadership Summer Camp, with lots of great

activities!

Today’s young people are inundated with video games, instant messaging, cell phones and

computers. It is often difficult to convince them that escaping these comforts of home will open up

to them a new world, far more fun than the one left behind. Our students experience beauty beyond description, and become valuable

contributors to our small groups. They establish lifelong friendships, and many discover who they

really are for the first time in their lives.

Our Leadership Summer Camp activities help today’s “wired generation” reconnect with the “out-

of-doors” in ways that help them become responsible, self-confident and self-reliant. They

will be continuously amazed at how much fun they can have without cell phones, computers and

other electronic devices.

Hot Ground Gym™ Leadership Summer Camp is a full day camp. We offer a blend of learning and growth, adventure and fun kids activities. They’ll grow under the guidance of dynamic instructors with military experience and surrounded by a supportive group of friends. Kids will find their own voice as a responsible and accountable leader. At the end of every day kids will head home as physically and mentally stronger individuals.

about Hot Ground Gym®

Hot Ground Gym® was Founded in July 2013 by two military veterans. Doug Gialds, a

veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and, Paul Plotkin, a veteran of the Israeli Special

Forces, Hot Ground Gym® is different from any traditional sports programs, fitness and

self-defense classes for children. Our mission is to shape today’s kids into the next

generation of strong and confident individuals through a unique training program that goes

beyond physical activity and works to strengthen critical thinking skills, encourage

cooperation and build character.

handpicked instructors. Our cadre of instructors consists of military veterans and

first responders. These are true, real life superheroes, who inspire children to become

great.

Our Instructors are selected for their natural leadership skills, life experience, effective communication, patience and more.

We don't have temporary employees or counselor in training, only top

notch instructors who are qualified to work with children.

Our Program

Our program is comprised from various important elements to make our campers strong mentally, physically and have the best time of their lives. The goal of the camp is to expose children to variety of skills, experiences, scenarios and challenges so that they can find their own leadership voice. Our camp is fun, creative, supportive and positive. Leadership development is embedded in every task, from the simplest task to the hardest. Every child will inspire, motivate and lead by example among their pears. Our leadership summer camp is a transformational experience. We can accomplish this by keeping our camp groups small with hand picked instructors who bring real life experiences and lead by example to inspire kids to become great.

What are we evaluating during the missions? We evaluate teamwork, friendship, compassion, adaptability, respect, creativity, leadership, outside the box thinking, critical thinking, time management, organization, maturity, effective communication, planning, skills learned throughout the daily curriculum, enthusiasm and more.

After every mission we sit down with our campers and evaluate the mission. Everyone’s voice is heard. We talk about the great things and about the things that need to be improved.

What are Daily Missions? Missions are fun, challenging and educational tests. Our daily missions test campers teamwork, charisma, mind-set, leadership, accountability, compassion, patience, other skills that they learned throughout the day and much more.

what is an example of a mission? Our Mission starts with an instructor brief. We layout the rules, conditions of the mission and safety.

Example of a Mission: You are required to move 3 sand bags from point A to Point B. The distance between the two points is 3 miles. From the time we start the mission you have 2 hours to successfully accomplish the mission. During those two hours you need to learn the route, and build an improvised stretchers from the minimal materials we supply. Once your team is ready to depart you will have 2 blind folded people. They will remain blind folded from the starting point to the finish point. Good Luck!

What about a bbq?

Our campers are going to eat from the fire almost every day. Some days we will ask them to bring some hot dogs or other “fire food” other days they will bring $5-$10 so we can make a shopping list and our campers can enjoy a real BBQ feast. Did we mention that they are going to learn how to cook meat and make nutritious salads? Oh yeah don't forget cleaning. We are confident to say that by the end of the summer you will have a great kitchen helper.

A deposit of $500.00 per camper is required at time of registration.

Remaining balance must be paid in full on or before March 1, 2017.

Hot Ground Gym® reserves the right to cancel enrollment if all fees are not paid in full by March 1,

2017. After March 1, 2017, all camp fees are to be paid in

full at time of registration.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: Deposits are refundable until March 1, 2017, minus a $150 non-refundable, non-transferable retainer

fee. Deposits are not refundable after March 1, 2017. After March 1, 2017, 50% of camp fees will be

refunded until June 1, 2017 for any cancellations or revisions.
