• Comparing the medical school curriculum at the University of Auckland vs. KUMC

• Worked with two 3rd year medical students on their first clinical rotation of medical school and one 5th year medical student during my GI rotation

MBChB Program Outline

Phase A

- Year 1/6- Comparable to premed requirements taken during undergrad - 6 year program in New Zealand vs 4 years of undergrad and 4 years of medical

school at KUMC

Phase 1

- Year 2 & 3- Comparable to 1st and 2nd year at KUMC- Spend 1 day a month with preceptor (similar to KUMC curriculum)

Phase 2

- Year 4 and 5- Comparable to 3rd Year at KUMC

Phase 3

- Year 6/6 - Comparable to 4th year at KUMC- Called a Training Intern or “TI”- Paid during this year
